Noida online fraud: Webwork Trades Pvt. Ltd. Directors Anurag Garg & Sandesh Verma Arrested in the charges of the scam of Rs. 500 crore yesterday i.e. on 17th of February. The case is in local police of Noida and they want to involve Special Investigation Team (SIT’s) into this, Noida police said that it has more powers to deal with such scams.
The company is said to be cheating many people in the name of getting paid for the likes of the Facebook page. There are lots of cases against this company after they realized a pop-up of not making the payment to the publishers till the month of April on their website. This company also works on the same business module that Social Trade or Ablaze Info Solutions was working on.
After arresting both the directors of Webwork, Noida police requested SIT to take over this case and get more details of the same. But as of now, Noida police has seized four bank accounts off the company which was owned by the directors Anurag and Sandesh Verma. Earlier the police were unaware of the amount which was collected from the people and after seizing the accounts of the company it shows the fraud of Rs. 500 crores.
This is the second company working on such a business module and got busted by the police. When will the government take required action on this? If there is no regulatory body than, why don’t the government sets something on to this and so that people can do business smoothly.
We will wait and watch the reaction of the publishers of the Webwork, whether they are in support of the company as the supporters of the Social trade or they will go against the company.
