Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father Krishnaraj Rai passed away today at 4 pm. He has been admitted in the Lilavati hospital, Mumbai for over a month now and he was reportedly suffering from lymphoma. He was survived by his wife (Vrinda Rai) and son (Aditya Rai), apart from his daughter.
When he was admitted in the hospital, both Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan were abroad for their work shoot. They immediately flew down to Mumbai to take care of Krishnaraj Rai, but eventually, their efforts failed.
The last rites of Krishnaraj Rai took place around 8.30 pm tonight at Ville Parle Seva Sansthan Shamshan Bhoomi. Several celebrities like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, etc. were present for the funeral to pay their respect in the last rites.
