Both these players are well-known wicket-keeping batsmen for team India. Wicket keeping is where both these players lack experience. Both these players are opening batsmen and have great track records in the T20 format. This year 2020, being the year for the infamous T20 world cup every team is needed for the perfect squad. If MS Dhoni is to return for the ICC T20 world cup then only one of these two will get a place in the 15 men Indian team. So IPL 2020 is a make it or breaks it for both these players.
Manish Pandey Vs Vijay Shankar
On paper, there are no actual comparisons between these two players. While Manish Pandey has been in the Indian team for quite some time now he was not part of the playing eleven in not many cases. But in the limited chances, he got he proved his worth and made sure that his name is remembered. While Vijay Shankar who was a surprise selection for the 2019 ICC world cup can replace him for this year’s T20 world cup as well. He brings the ability to bowling to the table. Shankar being a pace-bowling all-rounder has a great chance of being selected since Hardik Pandya is recovering from a back injury so if the team decides him at certain parts of the tournament Vijay could maybe fill in his shoes. Both these players have a lot to prove in this year’s IPL if they want to be a part of team India for the world cup.
Deepak Chahar Vs Navdeep Saini
With team Indian being in safe hands of Buhmara, Shami and Buvi the spot for an additional fast bowler are not so much. With both these players proving they are capable of giving a run for their money in international cricket with the limited opportunities that they were provided. The selectors are going to have a keen eye on every option for the Indian Squad and nitpick on every small detail as the competition for a single slot in the Indian squad is too high. This means both these players have to bring their ace game if they want to make an impression with the selectors.
