Eid-ul-Fitr is regarded as one of the most august and well dignified festival for Muslims. It is celebrated after the successful completion of the Ramadan fasting as a joy and proffering gratitude to the almighty Allah. This holy day commences for Muslims by offering a special prayer of two Rakaat, which is called “Namaze Eid-ul-Fitr” (the prayer for ‘Eid) as the state of gratitude, and according this the Islamic Sharia, this is an obligatory prayer and every adult Muslim have to offer it.
On Eid-ul-Fitr it is a mandate that charity should be made by each individual of the family. It is believed that, the charity should be done with serene soul before the “Eid prayer”, without which the Ramdaan fasting is not accepted. This munificence is bestowed on poor community of Muslims, so that they can also rejoice this holy festival with exhilaration and delectation.

Apart from this obligatory charity, the rich Muslim community shows its generosity in this festival by distributing clothes, money, sweets, food and other things among poor section to augment their happiness and lifestyle.
This holy day has a delightful itineary starting with an early morning peaceful charity, which is been moniker as “Sadqae Fitr”. This day is to celebrate and be joyous without any boundaries, considering which Muslims gets styled in with the all new clothes and with an arabic cologne escalating the appearance. With all shine and glaze they come out wearing traditonal Muslim Taqiyah(Cap) and go for praying “Namaze Eid-ul-Fitr. This is the major prayer of the day, concluding which they wish each other saying “‘Eid Mubarak”, shaking hands and giving hugs , embracing the atmosphere. The finesse of this beautiful festival does not ends here, as they return home with friends and relatives to have special dishes prepared on this occasion including a plethora of varieties to choose from like meat, sweets, sheer korma and other desserts. As a ritual “Eidi” the children are given Gifts and various presents from the elders, which can be asked from anyone.
